As our thinnest protection, each incontinence pad has a Thin-Flex design that holds its shape for all-day comfort. These women’s pads are made with breathable materials that let fresh air in to help eliminate dampness and keep you feeling clean and fresh. Poise incontinence pads are available in Light, Moderate, Maximum and Overnight absorbencies. For lighter absorbency needs, check out Poise Daily Liners. unexpected bladder leaks

Unexpected Bladder Leaks

Sometimes, bladder leaks can happen when you least expect it. Urge Urinary Incontinence is a sudden urge to urinate, followed by urine loss. The bladder muscles squeeze at the wrong time and cause leaks.

period vs incontinence liners

Period vs Incontinence Pads

Urine escapes the body faster and in higher quantities than menstrual flow, so period pads might feel wetter since they are not designed for urine. Unlike period pads, the materials used in bladder leak pads work to quickly absorb urine, which can help you feel comfortable for longer.

managing bladder leaks

Managing Bladder Leaks

A common cause of bladder leakage is a weakened pelvic floor. According to experts, you can help manage bladder leaks by doing pelvic floor therapy, bladder retraining, and using pads designed specifically for bladder leaks, like Poise.

stress Urinary incontinence

Stress Urinary Incontinence

Stress Urinary Incontinence is the involuntary loss of urine that occurs when pressure is suddenly placed on your bladder. This could happen when you cough, laugh, sneeze, exercise or lift a heavy item.

I used Always Discreet pads for years but it was time to level up since they kept changing their product. Worst change is the horrible overbearing scent. I wrote P&G to let them know I was not happy and got a canned response. So I looked at Poise. I got some in town to try first. Overall these are a good product. I read the reviews on Amazon. Poise had changed too! Ironically I got a different “style” than I bought locally with my Amazon order, but BOTH styles work very well. They also do not have the sickly sweet overbearing scent Always Discreet now uses. Poise Pads stay drier, in place, are very absorbent, and are more comfortable than Always Discreet. I use 5 long. No wings.

I was wearing a diaper at night, just because I wasn’t sure I would be able to hold my urine all the way tothe bathroom!! I had a THICKER version of POISE that I wore during the day, but I was selfcontious that people would be able to SEE the bulge in my pants!I was putting in a load of laundry and the running water triggered my urge to urinate. I KNEW I WOULDN’T MAKE IT TO THE BATHROOM and didn’t want to walk over carpet in the way there, so I JUST went ahead and wet my pants! Not only did I have to go, I REALLY HAD TO! I figured that I would have to clean up the floor BUT, HELD ALL OF THE URINE WITHOUT ANY LEAKS!! I wouldn’t suggest sitting down AFTER that but it REALLY ALLEVIATED ANY FEARS going forward. They are thin and long and DON’T SHOW EVEN WITH SNUG PANTS!! A GREAT 👍 BUY!

I was skeptable when the new design came out. They are thinner and just as absorbent. No bad odor as in Always descreet. I’ve tried the generic brands but they did not measure up. In my opnion, Poise super thin is the best.

I use the 5, I like the length and thinness doesn’t show . The one complaint is the adhesive is so strong that it doesn’t completely come off when you remove the pad. Trying to pick the adhesive off your panties is a major pain and sometimes it will come off in the wash. It has pulled the cotton lining off my panties too.

As stated in the other reviews, there were changes a few months ago. I compared an a new pad with an older pad. The new pad is a little less flexible and about 1/4″ shorter. However, they are still five stars to me because they are long enough, comfortable, and less irritating than other brands. Now, about the detergent. The adhesive has definitely become a problem in the newer version. After several hours’ wear, they don’t want to let go. Fun times picking the little bits of white plastic from my underwear. After throwing two pair under the sink to deal with later (including $25 Spanx), I googled for solutions. Someone suggested rubbing the adhesive and fabric with Dawn, and it worked brilliantly! It took only about a minute for each pair to be completely plastic-free.
